Miss C complained about the care and treatment she received from Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (āthe Health Boardā). Specifically, Miss C complained that the Health Board missed opportunities to identify and treat her cervical cancer sooner.
The investigation found that the care provided to Miss C was reasonable and that timely and appropriate investigations were carried out. It found that the actions taken by the Health Boardās clinicians between August 2018 and September 2020 were within the range of appropriate clinical practice. Accordingly, there was no evidence that the Health Board should have identified Miss Cās cancer sooner. The Ombudsman did not uphold this complaint.
